24/7 roadside assistance throughout New Zealand

Zurich Motor Insurance now comes with roadside assistance for all new customers with up to 20 vehicles. So, if you have a flat battery, blown tyre, lost keys or mechanical problems, you can get back on the road quickly and safely through our relationship with First Rescue, who have a network over 300 providers and over 1,000 support vehicles across the country.

How can Zurich Auto Assist help?

You’ll receive unlimited callouts per year (with the exception of fuel deliveries, which are limited to three per year).

Falt battery or jump start

If your vehicle can’t be jump started because the battery needs to be replaced, you’ll be referred or transported to the nearest Approved Repairer.

 
Out of charge (EV)

First Rescue will send out an EV charging van to provide a top up charge (up to 10km of charge) or arrange transport to the closest charging station or your address.

Lockout assistance

If your keys are locked in your vehicle, First Rescue will dispatch a technician to unlock the vehicle for you.

 
Flat tyre

First Rescue will dispatch a technician to remove the flat tyre and fit the vehicle spare wheel. If the spare wheel is flat, not with the vehicle or the incorrect wheel, your vehicle will be transported to the nearest First Rescue accredited repairer.

 
Lost keys

First Rescue will exhaust all options before arranging for a replacement key to be delivered to you.

 
Minor mechanical failure

First Rescue will triage the service request and, if required, dispatch a technician to conduct the repair.

 
Out of fuel

First Rescue will dispatch a technician who will arrange delivery of 5 litres of petrol or diesel, free of charge.

 
Mechanical breakdown

First Rescue will dispatch a technician to transport your vehicle to the nearest Approved Repairer.

What vehicles are eligible?

  • Sedans
  • SUVs
  • Utes and vans
  • Light commercial vehicles under 3.5 tonne GVM

Electric and hybrid vehicles are included in all the categories above.
